Magnificent Mega Air!

Kia Ora Bloggers!

Have you ever been to Chipmunks? Mega air? Flip Out?

Well, last night, some of the year 6 to 8's went to Mega Air last night. For those of you that don't know what Mega Air is, I am going to sum it up in pretty much 3 words. Magnificent. Fantastic. Amazing. We had a great afternoon there, and we even stayed there for 2 hours! My favourite part of Mega Air is the dodgeball pit, it was so much fun. Oh yes, I forgot to tell you, theres a dodgeball pit, air bag, halfpipe (In this half-pipe you bounce from side to side, this is made possible because there are trampolines for walls) and lots more!

Overall, I had so much fun. My friends did. My teachers did. Everyone did!

Are you participating in the Summer Learning Journey?

Well I am, and this blog post is going to be my practice one. My task for this activity is to create 4 new similies. Since that is the activity, then that is what I am going to do. I decided to present my work on google drawings, and this is because I know I can make a list in a creative way. I hope that you enjoy it!

A Day in the life of a...

Kia Ora Bloggers!

What do you do at writing time at your school? Do you even have writing time?

Well, today in Rimu, Just like every other day, we did writing. But unlike any other day, the year 7 and 8s are gone, and unlike any other day, our writing is based on something different. We have to pick a career each morning (this week), and then do all of our work based on that. Here is an example of my writing, which is called 'A day in the life of a soldier', that I made. I think that what we are doing for work this week is really fun, and so far, I have really enjoyed it.

'A Day in the Life of a soldier'

“VVVVVVVVVVVVRRRRRRRRRRRRR”, goes the sound of the foghorn. It’s my first day here in the army. I am currently  training to be in the army, and when I signed up, the number one rule was ‘Discipline’. I finally remembered that when I realized that it was 5 o’clock in the morning. That was the morning routine. Wake up at 5 am, make your bed, and get dressed. All in the time of 10 minutes. If we didn’t get it done on time, we would be punished severely.

My clothes, where did I put them! Oh yes, there they are. I’m rushing, trying to get my things done as fast as I can, and I’m in such a rush that I don’t even realise that my uniform is right in front of me, neatly folded on my bed. That’s another thing about being in the army, Before we go to bed, we have to fold our uniform super neatly.. It’s 9 minutes past 5 in the morning, and I’m still trying to get dressed!  The General will be in here any minute now to inspect our work!
